In January 2022, I revamped the design of our email newsletter and added an interactive component to the PDF. My goal was to not only encourage patrons to open the whole newsletter rather than click on specific events, but also make event registrations easier through direct links. Since implementing interactive PDFs and simplifying the email design for minimal scrolling, the email open rate is 37% (up from an average of 22%).
